To say that Jeff Reid has a passion for entrepreneurship would be an understatement.
After graduating from The University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in 1997, Reid wasted no time founding a Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the university, which over the years has served thousands of students with a passion for entrepreneurship. While working there, Reid founded the Venture Capital Investment Competition, an award-winning nationwide experiential education program for entrepreneurship that operates successfully to this day.
He then worked for a law firm and a venture-backed startup before joining the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, (or NFTE, pronounced “nifty”) where he helped to provide entrepreneurship education to thousands of young, low-income students in the Washington D.C. area. In 2009, Reid became the Founding Director of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative, a program that aims to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in Georgetown students.
